Mohr Portrait Series, 2016 - 2020, photography installed on wood panel with frottage on mulberry paper, 36” x 48” (each)

Two layers of mulberry paper cut into small mosaic forms collaged together with a layer of photography on mulberry paper covers with the delicate layer of Iranian calligraphy of the prayer stone through rubbing/frottage practice. In this collection, I explore the relationship between the inner female and the outside world in the form of critique and protest to how women have been presented across society.
